Argh! That was an ugly game
The Broncos vs Chargers game last night ended pretty ugly. Flags everywhere, bad snaps, interceptions and the Broncos lost. Jake Plummer imploded with interceptions and bad snaps. The defense couldn't stop LT. He makes defenders look dumb. They just don't seem to be able to take the right angle on him to get a good hit. Then in the second half, the Chargers started to hook up with Antonio Gates. Putting him in Darrent Williams zone is a huge mismatch. The D-line were doing good early but couldn't seem to get to Rivers in the second half. Now, Out O-line was getting a great 2 yard push and Mike Bell was hitting the hole VERY well and he was falling forward very well too. Two back to back passing plays when we needed 4 yards to get the first down was just bad play-calling. Especially when you know Jake is sucking. Mike Bell could have got the first down and then the Broncos would have been able to take some shots at the endzone.
It is a short week for the Broncos. They play on Thanksgiving at the Kansas City. It would have been nice if Oakland had beat KC this weekend.
