Tuesday Stuff
I wrote about the new versions of IE7 and Firefox last week. They have both been officially released this week. IE7 is a huge improvement over IE6 and I would update that right now. Firefox is more incremental. I will check that plug-ins I use are supported before upgrading.

Watch....
Jess got me (let me get) a nice watch while we were in Vegas. It is a Hamilton mechanical automatic. Looking for information about Hamilton I came across this interesting video from 1947. The first few minutes are boring but then it gets into the 1940s watch production.
History: Hamilton was formed in 1892 and started making pocket watches. Hamilton introduced the first battery powered watch in 1957 and the first digital watch in 1970. It is now owned by Swatch. Swatch also own Tissot, Omega, Rado, and Longines.
If you are interested in mechanical watches check out this FAQ. Many watches (like mine) use the Swiss ETA 7750 movement, also called the Valjoux 7750. Here is an extensive list of other movements.
